Lesson 1 - Samba Basics

In this Samba Basics course, Catalin explains Samba from the very beginning, so that any new dancer can follow along and even practice along. While the course starts with basic actions, musicality, samba bounce, it also goes in depth on every step explaining how the action moves from the foot to the hip and isolating body parts to create the perfect rhythm. Catalin teaches Whisk, Stationary Samba Walk, Volta, Botafogo and puts it all together into a short choreography. Cătălin Caucă is a 27-year-old professional Latin American dancer from Romania. With an impressive competitive record, he has reached the final at the Blackpool Dance Festival Professional Latin, the semifinal at the WDC World Professional Latin Championship, and the quarterfinal at the UK Open International Open. Beyond competing, Cătălin is passionate about teaching, traveling globally to share his love, expertise, and knowledge of dance with others.
